Student Competition

Student competition


University of Galway, in association with the National Academic Integrity Network (NAIN), wants to see your creativity as part of its Academic and Research Integrity Awareness Competition. Your entry may take the form of a poster or short video and must be submitted before 6pm on 20 September, 2023.

Submission themes:

 

  • Students supporting students: Championing academic/research integrity in your school/college/university.

  • Working in partnership: Student and staff collaboration to support and uphold academic/research integrity.

  • Artificial intelligence: A help or a harm to academic/research integrity?

  • Snakes in the tall grass: Combatting essay mills and protecting academic/research integrity.
     

A €200 One4All voucher prize will be awarded under each of the following categories:

  • Higher Education: Undergraduate

  • Higher Education: Postgraduate

  • Further Education and Training: NFQ L 5-6

  • Further Education and Training: NFQ L 1-4

 

Further entries will be selected to be displayed at the conference and shared online. Prizes are awarded to individuals only.
 

Entry Formats


We welcome either posters (A0 - A1) or short videos (up to 30 seconds in length).  Please read the full details here: Student Competition Details
 

Submission Process

The panel will consider the following criteria, when evaluating submissions:

  • Is there a clear message for viewers to take away from the submission?

  • How creative and original is the content?

  • Is the submission clearly linked to the competition themes (see above) and the conference themes?

  • Will the submission be of interest to conference attendees and students generally?
